VEGAN JAGGERY BISCUTS

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder or cardamon essence

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder

  • pinch of salt

  • 1/2 cup clarified butter (aka- ghee)

  • 1/2 cup jaggery powder

  • 3 tablespoons diary-free milk


Procedure:

  1. Preheat a oven at 180° C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Sift the Jaggey powder through a sift to ensure there are no lumps

  3. Add in the clarified butter and give it a mix

  4. Then, add the milk and cardamon essence. Mix it until everything is well incorporated.

  5. Next, sift in the dry ingredients. This includes the flour, baking powder, cinnamon powder and salt.

  6. Mix it up till it forms a dough. Roll out the dough and cut it in desired shape using a cookie cutter.

  7. Bake the cookies in the oven at 180° Celcius for 15-18 minutes or until they are golden brown.

  8. Your cookies are now ready so go ahead and have them with milk, tea or even coffee.
