Ingredients-
1/2 cup + 2tbsp vegan butter
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 cup + 2 tbsp caster sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup almond milk
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup nuts or chocolate(optional)
Procedure-
Preheat the oven to 165°C and grease a 8 inch x 8 inch pan with parchment paper.
In a big bowl add the vegan butter, cocoa powder and caster sugar. Mix it up and bring it on a double boiler system. The mixture will become liquid and smell like chocolate.
Remove the mixture off the double boiler. In a small bowl with the vegan milk, add the baking powder. Wait till the mixture foams up.
Add the milk mixture to the big bowl. Then add maple syrup and give it mix.
Lastly, Sift in the flour and mix using a spatula till it forms a even batter. Optionally and nuts or chocolate chips.
Pour the batter in a 8 inch x 8 inch greased pan. Bake the brownies for 20-25 minutes or till a toothpick when insterted comes out clean.
