Almond Milk | Vegan Basics 101

Ingredients-

  • 1 cup almonds

  • 5 cups water

  • 1-2 dates

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Procedure-

  1. Soak the almonds in a bowl overnight or in hot water for 2-3 hours.

  2. Drain out the water.

  3. In a blender, add the almonds, water, 1-2 dates and 1 tsp vanilla extract till it resembles like milk.

  4. In a bowl, with a strainer and a cottage cheese cloth, pour the almond milk through till all the almond meal is separated. Squeeze the cloth to remove any remaining milk.

  5. Store the almond milk in the fridge for maximum a week. And that's it, your almond milk is ready!
